John R. Donahue Obituary; Beloved John R. Donahue Passed Away at 90

John R. Donahue, who resided in Seymour, Indiana, passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving behind family and friends who are in mourning. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of his passing. His parents, Michael Donahue and Lena Harper Donahue, as well as his children, Venessa Lee Donahue and Debora Sue Donahue, as well as his siblings, Gene Donahue, Glennis Schneck, Wilbur Donahue, Donald Donahue, and Claris Niewidde, passed away before him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ida” Donahue.

His daughter, Melinda Donahue, his granddaughters, Amanda Speer and Rebecca Johnson (Christopher), his great grandchildren, Alexia Persinger, Gavin Persinger, Tarani Persinger, Magnolia Johnson, Quentin Williams, Noah Williams, and Camron Williams, and his great great grandchildren, Jordyn Parkin and Emery Parkin, are among those who are able to carry on his legacy. In addition, he leaves behind a large number of nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, December 28th 2023, visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, December 29th 2023, visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Voss & Sons Funeral Service, which is located at 316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, Indiana 47274. It has been decided that a funeral service will take place at the same venue on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

There is the opportunity to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in the name of John R. Donahue.
