Ann Cole Death; Identified As Woman Found Dead in Rutherglen Property

The death of a Rutherglen woman prompted a murder probe.

Newfield Place in Rutherglen was where 61-year-old Ann Coll was found dead at 12.45am on Friday, December 22. Post-mortem examinations classified her death as murder.

The 61-year-old died at the scene after being seriously injured. The Police Scotland Major probe Team will lead the probe and appeal for information.

On Sunday morning, a 51-year-old man was found dead on Dyke Street, Baillieston, Glasgow. Police call the death’suspicious.’ I encourage anyone who can help to contact us immediately while our murder investigation continues.

She added: “Officers are conducting door-to-door and other investigations in the area.

“There will be an additional police presence in the area as this work continues, and I would urge anyone with concerns or information to speak to our officers.”
